Disability

My name's Manolo and I've been deaf since I was 5. I had an accident in which a strong impact knocked ne deaf. I had to learn sign lenguage and lip reading.

Life is abit different for me sometimes. For example, I can't go to concerts or, more complicated, at school it is very difficult to hear the explanations.

The robbery

Yesterday, at six o'clock a car was driving at high speed escaping from the police after robbing the bank of 23rd Avenue. The thieves fled without realising that a couple of workers were working on the road and there was a big hole and fled thieves were finally arrested by the police. People could not believe what was happening because they said it looked like a movie. Finally all the money was returned to the bank and the thieves entered prison.

A sport event

One day I was in my home and my father came to me with two tickets for the final of the Champions League, Málaga vs Bayern München. When they were at the stadium, we saw the bus of the teams at the parking lot. I took a photo when Málaga scored in the 87 minute, all the people were excited and very happy because the team had its first UEFA Champions League.

When I was young

I was born in Málaga in 2000. When Iwas young, we lived in another house, in La Paz. We're moved since then, and I've lived here in Puerta Blanca for twelve years now. 

My earliest memory is very clear. I was with my grandfather and we were going to Carrefour to visit my mum that was working there. I also remember my first day at school "Los Guindos".

I've studied at Fernando de los Rios Secondary School for four years now. My experience at secondary school has helped me be more sociable and meet new people.
